4.Overview
Automatic text analysis is transforming the field of social science by improving the summary and analysis of various documents in our social, political, and legal life. This short seminar introduces 
students to quantitative text analysis techniques, with the goal of providing students with the 
skills necessary to apply these methods in their own research in social science and law. We will 
use the open source programming language R. Demonstration programming scripts and text corpora are
provided.


5. Prerequisites
Students should have R and RStudio installed before this seminar. Instructor will provide scripts 
for sessions along with some data to analyze.
