본 과목은 디지털 혁명으로 대표되는 기술 혁명이 민주주의 혁신에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있으며 앞으로 어떻게 미칠 것인가의 문제를 다룬다. 이를 위해 학생들은 현재 대의제 민주주의가 직면한 문제가 무엇이며, 이러한 문제가 현재의 다양한 민주주의 제도들이 기술의 발달과 사회의 변화를 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있는 것인지에 대한 평가를 할 수 있다. 학생들은 디지털 기술의 발달이 어떻게 민주주의의 제도적 측면을 쇄신할 수 있는지, 앞으로 우리 사회가 추구해야 할 민주주의의 모델은 무엇인지에 대하여 자신의 의견을 제시할 수 있다.

This course deals with how the technological innovation represented by the digital revolution has an impact on democratic renovation and how it will affect the future of democracy. To this end, students can evaluate what problems are facing the current representative democracy, and whether these problems are not properly reflecting the development of technology and changes in society. Students can present their opinions on how the development of digital technology can renew the democratic institutions, and what models of democracy our society should pursue in the future.
